I stepped off a bus in Las Vegas at 19 years old with nothing but a suitcase. I had never even visited the city before, but I knew I needed to find something bigger. I left behind a farm town in Idaho after losing my mother at 16. She was the one who instilled in me an appreciation for a clean space and a love for aesthetics. I had a difficult upbringing, and I realized I needed a new life on my own terms. So, I took a risk on a one-way ticket to build it from the ground up.

A part of my journey is actually hidden in our name. 'Oh, City' has a double meaning: it is a play on words for OCD, and it represents my major transition from farm life to the busy city. For a long time, I struggled with contamination OCD. It was a constant source of anxiety, but I eventually decided to stop viewing it as a weakness. I realized I could harness that attention to detail into a superpower. 

I have always been a risk-taker. I knew I couldn't continue the standard 9-to-5 because I craved a life with purpose, so I took another leap of faith to start this business.

To me, this brand is about curating a specific feeling. It is that moment when the heavy lifting is done and you step out of a hot shower with a fresh mind and body. You strike a match to light a candle, and as the warm fragrance fills the perfectly clean room, you feel completely restored. It is like stepping into paradise.
